Mirror Multimedia Communications MMC provided photography coverage for the inaugural Egumeni Dialogue on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment (GEWE), held September 29–30, 2025 at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa. Convened under the theme “Shaping Equitable Gender Norms: Advancing Women’s Agency and Opportunities in Africa,” the historic gathering brought together leaders, policymakers, civil society actors, youth representatives, grassroots organizations, development partners, and academics from across the continent to confront regressive gender norms and chart pathways for transformative change. MMC documented this landmark moment, marking the beginning of what is set to become an annual continental platform for advancing gender equality in Africa.
